John J. P. Elliot
John Elliot graduated with degrees in Commerce and Law from the University of NSW in 1978.
In 1976 he had been appointed as an Agent of the AMP Society. John was a qualifying member of the International, Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and a Gold Ribbon AMP agent. He was President of the NSW AMP Agents Association 1991 and 1992.
In Jan 1993 he was appointed manager of the AMP Western Sydney (Penrith Sales) Unit. He was responsible for tens of millions of dollars of AMP Life & General Insurance annual premiums and about $100 million of investment funds under management for AMP. He recruited new sales people in this role, and trained and managed an existing team of agents.
He has managed tourism assets in the Blue Mountains from 1996 to 1998 in association with his CTI consultancy activities.
In 1994 he commenced his free-lance business management and development consultancy (CTI Strategies), which is currently active, with a seven-year history of carrying out diverse B2B projects, management and consulting activities.

John is the lead developer for all CTI technology projects. John developed a very early interest in technology and joined the IT industry in 2000, an interesting period in this industry's history. If you asked him, he'd tell you he's a computer programmer. His specific experience is with database and applications design, development, and maintenance. Typically line-of-business data-entry and data-analysis systems utilising Microsoft technology. Here is a brief list of completed projects in which John has been significantly involved:
- Electronic LED ticker displaying stock market and other information
- Geographical information system for managing over 3,000 sites in NSW
- Paperless timesheet system - facilitating corporate charge-back between business units
- Data warehousing and reporting system for senior executives and analysts
- Automated stock market trading system for derivative trading company
- Expanding monitoring services of a national media analysis company to include web monitoring
- Business process re-engineering for a leading retail consultant
- Leveraging existing investment in legacy reporting for use on the web
- Workforce management system - for a several thousand strong call centre
- Maintenance programming for many Visual Basic and Microsoft Office based data-entry and reporting systems for legal, financial, catering, wholesale, media, market research, entertainment and analysis groups.
- Development of a number of web-based internet and intranet solutions.
- Development of cutting-edge data-warehousing and business intelligence system based on Microsoft SQL Server, Analysis Services (OLAP) and .NET technology.
